Mascot Pumpkin

Mascot Pumpkin, originally uploaded by Gothbunny.

I wish I had access to candles to light this one up, but … oh well. Since our school is contributing pumpkins to Keene, NH’s annual pumpkin carving extravaganza I made one with our school mascot on it (Tiger) and the School name on the far right. Later, I made another with “Trick, Treat” spelt out in ASL finger-spelling (drawing and then carving the ASL signs would have taken longer than I had time for during lunch).

If you have some time, check out Tenshi no Tamago. I’d seen the artwork from the movie a long time ago, but never seen the film itself. Again, I find You Tube to be a wonderful resource, despite the pixelation. Be prepared to be immersed in a very creepy world. The movie does have religious overtones, despite the director and producer insisting in interviews he did not know what it was about. It is dubbed, although the dialogue is sparse. The music is wonderfully eerie, but it stands as a silent film full of visual candy.
