New Project

This particular one isn’t finished by any means, but a little look at where it’s at.

I have a lot commissions in the works, including a painting of Bunny Molecules by request! Here’s a little peek at something new, a quick study for a much more detailed and lovely painting of a beautiful cat named Cy. Click the picture for a larger look.

Assigned, this time. The assignment was to do a self portrait with strong, single-source lighting. I know the ears are too high, but my head was tilted down slightly…. sadly, it looks weird so I’m going to have to try to elongate them to compensate. The collar bone also looks odd, so I’m going to be back and fix that today also.
… a little better…
I’m missing half of my art supplies, but with two pencils and half an eraser, I did get this far. I need some serious touch-ups once I have my hands on my 1/8″ vinyl stick eraser, 4H pencil, and an Ebony.
Yeah – it’s that time of year again, introspective time.

Another study to prepare for the semester ahead… and not feel utterly useless. The spots and stripes on this image are from my window. I made a mad dash to use the last bits of sunlight to get a decent photograph of the piece.
Detail photos are available on the Flickr Feed should you like to look closer.
